Description

A simple recipe for Air Fryer Char Siu, a delicious Chinese barbecue pork.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork tenderloin
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp Chinese five spice powder
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, five spice powder, rice vinegar, garlic, and black pepper.
  2. Marinate the pork in the mixture for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Place the marinated pork in the air fryer basket.
  5. Cook for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through.
  6. Check the internal temperature; it should reach 145°F (63°C).
  7. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
