Description

Delicious Asian-inspired cabbage rolls filled with savory meat and rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cabbage
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup cooked jasmine rice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Remove the core from the cabbage and boil the head in water for 5-7 minutes until leaves are soft.
  3. In a bowl, mix ground pork, cooked rice, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, green onions, sesame oil, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
  4. Carefully peel off cabbage leaves and place a spoonful of filling at the base of each leaf.
  5. Roll the leaf tightly, tucking in the sides to secure the filling.
  6. Place the rolls seam-side down in a baking dish.
  7. Cover the rolls with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Notes

  • Use any type of ground meat if preferred.
  • Adjust filling spices to your taste.
  • Serve with additional soy sauce for dipping.
