- 1 lb white fish fillets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 8 corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup pico de gallo
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp lime juice
Instructions
- Preheat oil in a deep pan for frying.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Dip fish fillets in buttermilk, then coat with the flour mixture.
- Fry fish until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Warm corn tortillas in a skillet.
- Assemble tacos by placing fish on tortillas.
- Add shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, and drizzle with lime mayo.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use any white fish like tilapia or cod.
- Customize toppings to your liking.
- For a spicier kick, add jalapeños.
