A delicious and healthy black bean burger made with simple ingredients.
Ingredients

- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
- In a bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth.
- Add breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet or on the grill.
- Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
- Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- Store leftover patties in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- These can be frozen before cooking for later use.
- Customize with your choice of spices or herbs.
