A hearty one-pan meal featuring black beans, sausage, and rice.
Ingredients

- 1 cup black beans, canned and drained
- 1 pound sausage, sliced
- 1 cup rice, uncooked
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sausage and cook until browned.
- Stir in onion, garlic, and bell pepper; cook until softened.
- Add rice, black beans, chicken broth, cumin, and paprika.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
- Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is cooked.
- Season with salt and pepper before serving.
Notes
- Use any type of sausage you prefer.
- Can substitute brown rice for white rice.
- Adjust spices to your taste.
