Description

A festive and colorful pasta dish inspired by Mardi Gras celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Sauté until tender.
  4. Add cooked shrimp and Cajun seasoning. Stir to combine.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Mix in the cooked pasta and Parmesan cheese. Stir well.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use any pasta shape you prefer.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less Cajun seasoning.
