Description
Venezuelan Cachapas with Cheese are sweet corn pancakes filled with cheese. They are a popular dish in Venezuela, often enjoyed for breakfast or as a snack.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh corn kernels
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cheese (Queso Blanco or similar)
- Butter for cooking
Instructions
- Blend corn kernels, cornmeal, milk, sugar, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add butter.
- Pour 1/4 cup of the batter into the skillet for each cachapa.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- Repeat with remaining batter.
- Place cheese on top of cachapas while still hot.
- Fold or roll the cachapas and serve warm.
Notes
- Adjust sugar according to your preference.
- Use fresh corn for the best flavor.
- Serve with additional cheese or toppings if desired.
